What is it about famous guitar riffs? You know the type that make the hair on the back of your neck stand up every time you hear them! Why are they so exciting and iconic and what makes them stand out from other guitar riffs?
It definitely isn’t just because they are difficult to play – You might be thinking – "Can I ever play them" – to which the answer is certainly "YES!!" with our free course. 
In fact some of the most famous guitar riffs are actually really easy guitar riffs! Sometimes they can be as simple as a couple of chords – think about You Really Got Me by The Kinks for example, just one chord shape moved up two frets and back again. Other electric guitar riffs can be more complex, such as the classic intro to Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix. Still you don’t have to be in the Hendrix league to play some fabulous guitar licks.
